Build on Givebear: authenticate with the Connect API, read donation data, collect donations, handle webhooks, and load the browser SDK.
Build on Givebear. The Connect API lets your app read an organization's donation data and collect donations on its behalf, scoped to one organization per credential. The browser SDK renders donation and event widgets on any site.
Connect quickstart
Make your first authenticated call in a few minutes with an API key or OAuth token.
Authentication & scopes
Choose between API keys and OAuth, understand org scoping, and request the right scopes.
Webhooks
Subscribe to events, verify signatures, and handle delivery and retries.
API reference
Every endpoint, request, and response, with curl and TypeScript examples.
Browser SDK
Load window.Givebear, render embeds by code or data attributes, and control widget configuration.
How Connect works
Authenticate with an org API key (gb_live_...) or an OAuth access token (gba_...). Every credential is scoped to exactly one organization, and every scope an app holds is bounded by what the granting admin could do. Money collected through the API settles into the organization's own Stripe account, exactly like a donation made on the web.
