Add-ons reference

Every add-on you can turn on for your organization, what it unlocks, and where to manage it.

Add-ons are free capabilities included in every plan. You switch them on per organization to unlock a dashboard tab, a set of presets, or a donor-facing surface. Your enabled set keeps the dashboard focused on the work you actually do, and turning one on never changes your pricing.

You manage add-ons in the dashboard under Settings, on the Add-ons tab. The page groups add-ons by capability: each tool leads with its own card, and related preset packs sit nested beneath it.

Where to find add-ons

CostFree, included in every plan
Who can change themOwners and admins (anyone with the "Manage features" permission)

When they are setA starter set is chosen during onboarding, based on your organization type

Add-ons that staff can still view but not change appear without working toggles. To grant the "Manage features" permission to a custom role, see Settings, roles, and billing.

The starter set from onboarding is a shortcut, not a permanent label. Change your add-ons anytime: a mosque can add a volunteer program, and a general nonprofit can add a community calendar. See Getting started.

Community Calendar

The Community Calendar is a flexible embeddable calendar for services, classes, holidays, events, and community programs. It works for any tradition.

Add-onWhat it adds
Community CalendarA Calendar tab in the dashboard, plus a public calendar feed for the calendar widget.

Faith calendar packs

Faith calendar packs layer tradition-specific presets onto the Community Calendar. Each pack requires the Community Calendar: turning a pack on also turns the Community Calendar on, and turning the Community Calendar off turns its packs off. The dashboard surfaces your own tradition and keeps the rest behind a "packs for other traditions" section.

PackTraditionPresets it adds
Church ServicesChristianitySunday Worship and Bible Study, with locations and livestream links
Synagogue CalendarJudaismShabbat, holiday, class, and yahrzeit entries
Hindu Temple EventsHinduismPuja, festival, seva, and community meal entries
Gurdwara CalendarSikhismLangar, kirtan, Gurpurab, and akhand path entries
Buddhist Temple EventsBuddhismMeditation, dhamma talk, Vesak, and retreat entries

All packs feed the same public calendar. Manage entries from the Calendar tab and publish them through widgets.

Islam has no calendar pack: prayer times are their own add-on (below), and Ramadan giving lives under Fundraising projects.

Fundraising projects

Fundraising projects are always available, so there is no toggle for the surface itself. These packs add seasonal, pre-filled project templates to the new project page so you can launch a drive faster.

PackTraditionTemplates it adds
Ramadan CampaignsIslamZakat and Iftar giving projects
Church TithesChristianityA recurring-friendly Tithes and Offerings project
Jewish Holiday GivingJudaismHigh Holiday and Yizkor giving projects

Launch a drive from the new project page, then run it like any fundraising project.

Prayer Times

Add-onWhat it adds
Muslim Prayer TimesPrayer times, Prayer schedule, Jumuah times, and Website widget links under Add-ons in the sidebar, where you set your location and calculation method, adhan adjustments and iqamah times, Jumu'ah shifts, and the display format, plus the public feed for the prayer-times widget. It can also appear as a section on your public donation page.

Volunteer Program

Add-onWhat it adds
Volunteer ProgramA Volunteers tab for signups, shifts, and hours tracking, plus shift signups on event pages.

The Volunteer Program pairs with your contacts and outreach tools.

Membership Program

Add-onWhat it adds
Membership ProgramA Membership tab with tiers, recurring dues, member cards, and check-in, a public membership signup page, and membership mode on kiosks.

Membership dues use Givebear's standard payment fees: see Donations and finance. For kiosk membership check-in, see Kiosks and devices.

How toggling works

You switch each add-on on or off from its card on the Add-ons tab. A change takes effect right away: the matching dashboard tab, calendar presets, or donor-facing surface appears or disappears.

  • Enabling an add-on reveals its dashboard tab and a Manage link to set it up.
  • Disabling an add-on hides its tab and surface, but your data stays in place.
  • Faith calendar packs depend on the Community Calendar. Enabling a pack turns the Community Calendar on; disabling the Community Calendar turns its packs off.
  • The fundraising template packs (Ramadan, Tithes, Jewish Holiday Giving) add project templates. Launch a drive from the new project page.
