Embeddable widgets
What you can copy from the dashboard and where each embed belongs on your website.
Widgets put Givebear content on your own website without building anything. You set up the look in the dashboard, copy a snippet, and paste it into your site. The widget then renders right where you placed it.
Use widgets when your organization already has a website and you want donors or visitors to stay on it. If you would rather send people to a hosted page, share a public Givebear link instead. If a developer needs to control the widget in code, send them to the developer SDK.
To see the widgets running on a real page before you set anything up, browse the live examples in snippet examples. To see the full product, book a walkthrough.

What you can copy from the dashboard
Givebear generates five website embeds. Each lives next to the feature it draws from, so you build it where you already manage that content.
| Embed | Where to find it | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Website button | Donations, then Website button | A donation button, card, or inline giving form |
| Campaign embed | A campaign's Embed tab | A campaign hero, progress thermometer, or supporters ticker |
| Event embed | An event's Embed tab | One published event with a register button |
| Website calendar | Events, then Website calendar | Your upcoming public events |
| Website widget | Add-ons, then Prayer times, then Website widget | Your daily prayer schedule |
Each page has a short setup panel, a live preview, and a snippet you copy with one click. What you change in the panel updates the preview and the snippet together, so the code always matches what you see.
The calendar and prayer-time embeds only appear when the matching add-on is on. See the add-ons reference for how to enable them.
Donation widgets
Open the donation embed from Donations, then Website button. You choose a presentation and a destination.
The presentation is how the widget looks on the page:
- Inline puts the full giving form directly on the page.
- Button shows a single button that opens a secure donation window.
- Card shows a richer prompt with a heading and a give action.
The destination is where the gift goes:
- Page sends donors to your organization's general giving.
- Fund ties the widget to one fund, such as a building fund or zakat.
- Campaign ties the widget to a single appeal.
For buttons and cards you can also set the button text and an accent color. Widgets use your organization's accent color automatically, so most snippets need no color setting at all. The donation widgets page covers which presentation fits which spot on your site.
The donation embed needs your public address set first. If the page asks you to configure a public URL, set your organization slug in settings, then come back.
Donations through a widget are processed exactly like donations on your Givebear pages, with the same payout and fee handling. See pricing for the details.
Campaign and event embeds
Each active campaign has an Embed tab with three widgets: a campaign hero (title, live progress, matching, and a donate button in one block), a compact progress thermometer, and a supporters ticker that cycles recent gifts. Each published event's Embed tab offers an event card with a register button.
Calendar and prayer widgets
The calendar embed shows your public events on your own site. It offers three layouts: an Agenda list of every upcoming event, a Compact list for sidebars and footers, and a Next Up card for the single next event. Manage the underlying events in Events.
The prayer-time embed shows your prayer schedule. It offers a full schedule, a hero card, and a slim header strip, and you can choose a 12-hour or 24-hour clock. Set the actual times in the prayer-times area before you embed.
Both are read-only displays of content you already publish in Givebear. See calendar and prayer widgets for layout guidance.
Where each embed belongs
Place a widget where the surrounding page already tells visitors what they are looking at:
- Put a donation button or card on a campaign story, a program page, or a footer.
- Put an inline donation form on a page that exists to collect gifts.
- Put a calendar on an events or community page.
- Put prayer times on a homepage or a dedicated prayer page.
Avoid hiding a widget in a crowded menu or pairing it with copy that does not match the destination. A donor should always know what their gift supports before they give. The theming and platforms page covers placement on common website builders.
Built-in fallbacks
Every snippet includes a plain link and a "Powered by Givebear" credit alongside the widget. If a visitor blocks scripts, or a search engine reads the page before the widget loads, that link still points to your Givebear giving page. You can keep the snippet exactly as copied, including that fallback.
When to involve a developer
The copy-paste embeds cover the common cases. Hand the work to a developer when you need to render widgets from code, mount them after the page loads, drive several widgets from shared data, or wire the widget to your own analytics. Point them to the developer SDK.
