What is the platform fee?
Givebear charges one flat platform fee per plan: 5.9% on Free, 2.9% on Plus, and 1.9% on Growth. The same rate applies to online donations, kiosk donations, and membership dues. Stripe card processing is the only other per-payment cost and is passed through at cost.
Is the kiosk app included in every plan?
Yes. Every plan includes the Givebear kiosk software. Kiosk hardware is a one-time purchase of $999 to $1099, with no separate monthly fee per device.
What is the difference between annual and monthly billing?
Annual billing is one upfront payment for twelve months at the lower rate. Plus is $29/month billed annually ($348/year) and Growth is $39/month billed annually ($468/year). Month-to-month billing is $39/month for Plus and $54/month for Growth, with no minimum term.
How does the 30-day trial work?
Your first 30 days on Plus or Growth are free. A card is required so billing can begin after the trial, but you pay nothing if you cancel before the trial ends.
What card-processing fees apply?
Givebear passes Stripe's card-processing fees through at cost with no markup. Online card payments use Stripe's standard rate of 2.9% + $0.30. Kiosk payments use Stripe's in-person rate of 2.7% + $0.05.
How much does the kiosk hardware cost?
The 21.5" wall-mount kiosk is $999. The 21.5" stand kiosk with a four-hour battery is $1099. Both are one-time purchases with free standard US shipping and no separate kiosk subscription.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
Month-to-month plans have no minimum term, setup fee, or cancellation fee. Annual plans are a twelve-month prepay chosen for the lower rate. Your donation and donor records remain exportable on every plan.
Can we export our data and leave?
Yes. Your donation and donor records export as CSV from the dashboard on every plan, including Free. There is no contract holding you, no cancellation fee, and nothing is held back when you leave.
Whose Stripe account holds the donations?
Your organization's own Stripe account. Every gift settles there directly; Givebear never pools funds in a platform account. Because the Stripe account belongs to your organization, leaving Givebear does not move your money or your payment history.
What happens if the kiosk does not pay for itself?
Then you get your money back. If your kiosk does not collect more than its price in donations within 365 days, send it back for a full refund. Keep Givebear as your main donation system for the window; full terms are on our return policy page.
