Fund routing questions

How is Zakat kept separate from general operating funds?
Zakat is its own fund, so each Zakat gift is designated from the first tap and tracked apart from Sadaqah and operations. The Zakat template takes one-time gifts only, matching how the obligation is paid.
What records does the treasurer get for each fund?
Every gift in the transactions ledger carries its fund, whether it came from a kiosk, the website or a campaign page. Filter by fund, export the rows to CSV for your accountant, and each donor's receipt names the fund.
What is the difference between a fund and a campaign?
A fund is a standing destination, like Zakat, tithes, a building fund or general operations. A campaign is a time-bound appeal with an optional goal and deadline that points at one or more funds. Most organizations keep a few funds and run campaigns on top.
