What a donation kiosk really costs over three years

Hardware stickers are the least useful number on a kiosk quote. SecureGive's entry kiosk is $1,199, but its Basic subscription at $149 per month adds $5,364 over 36 months: more than four times the hardware (both figures from SecureGive's pricing page, verified June 2026). Kind Kiosk inverts the shape: a $299 kiosk looks like the cheapest door in the table, then a $49 per month Community plan plus a 3% platform fee on top of Stripe's 2.7% takes 5.7% of every card gift, per its own pricing page.

A donation kiosk with no monthly fee: how Givebear prices it

Every competitor in the table charges recurring software, per organization or per device, from iChessed's $30 per month entry tier to SecureGive's $299 per month Premium (verified June 2026 on each vendor's public site). Even the smallest of those subscriptions compounds to $1,080 over 36 months; SecureGive Basic compounds to $5,364.

Why does average gift size change kiosk costs?
Because of the fixed per-transaction component. MOHID's $0.32 per gift is about 0.6% of a $52 donation but 3.2% of a $10 donation, and SecureGive's $0.30 behaves the same way. The calculator defaults to a $52 average kiosk gift and divides your monthly volume by it to estimate transaction counts. If your kiosk takes many small gifts, lower the average and watch the fixed fees claim a larger share of every dollar.
Is renting a donation kiosk cheaper than buying one?
Only for a one-off. Kind Kiosk lists event rentals at $149 to $299 per device per event on its pricing page (verified June 2026), so renting wins for a single gala.
